I was going to fix baked potatoes with our rotisserie chicken (88 cents a lb.) last night, but our local store wanted 4.00 for a bag. The heck with that. We had rice instead, and homemade coleslaw. I never pay more than 1.99 at the international market, and will pick some up today. I also paid 2.69 for a gallon of milk instead of almost $4 at the other store. A pound of Jennie-O ground turkey (93%) is selling there for $2.49 as opposed to $4.00 elsewhere, and Land o'Lakes butter was a dollar less. Each week I list the sales and since I'm out almost every day I shop and plan my menus accordingly. Had a ball last night with Ralphs mix n' match. I like to keep canned foods in case of earthquake, bought Green Giant veggies for .49, some chili and Campbells soups for .79, Progresso soups and Buitoni tri-colored pasta for .99. Came home with 3 bagsful for $24.68. Don't forget, I'm feeding 6 people.
