Always dangers on the roads, the primary on being:
1 -- Yourself; always ride within your skills and abilities and in accordance with the traffic and road conditions at that time.
2 -- Ice? Not at the lower elevations (unless something freakish happens with a major cold front pushing down from Canada); at the higher elevations just need to watch out if it is particularly cold and wet.
3 -- Animals? Definitely. Need to watch for deer, especially in the mornings and evenings, and especially when riding near streams where they come down to drink.
4 -- Gravel on roads; always need to watch for gravel in the corners; likely in some of the switchbacks on roads like Red Mountain Pass, etc.
5 -- Cars and other drivers; always a danger.
6 -- Riding with strangers; you may be on a ride with folks with whom you have never ridden; need to take in consideration their abilities and riding skills; look out for each other.
Ride safe!
