No. My tongue was firmly planted at bottom of my mouth.
1800 overheating. true.
Altitude sickness. true.
sunburn. true.
old hippies and young commies. true. (come on, its Boulder we're talking about). Could be worse... could be Austin!
Colorado style pizza. yep. just ask my son, a true gourmand of pizza. There are good pizza places, just don't order Colorado style.
Denver omelet heartburn. guaranteed. (stick to plain ham and cheese)
aggressive drivers. absolutely.
Ward Colorado. you just gotta go there if you don't believe me. maybe it was built on an Indian burial ground. I can't explain it. My wife refuses to go through there on the ride down to Boulder from the Peak to Peak highway.
mountain lion attacks. documented.
Have i left anything out? oh yeah the BBQ. I'm anxious to try a new place in Littleton that boasts KC style. God, I miss good BBQ (not that Wichita KS is noted for it) I've surmised that good BBQ is so labor intensive that the good places quit after a few years. It a hard job, for sure. Crappy places don't put in the effort, so they're content to keep churning it out year after year.
I'll say one thing about the mountains, though. Were it not for the cool temperatures up there, Harley riders would have nowhere to ride in the summer without overheating.
(oops let me pull my tongue out from there)
It can get frigid up there though... my wife and I went over the pass between leadville and buena vista in JULY and had to dodge icy spots... if i remeber correctly, i think it was actually sleeting!
