Most everyone is running a mag with a little cordless battery mounted for trans brake and tail lite. There are some running a battery ignition so it is generally an issue with weight and the ability to start the car without a remote battery pack on a cart or 4 wheeler. Also with a mag you are generally going to need a 16 volt or more start battery to spin the motor fast enough to fire the mag.
