Every thing that was said above !!! We had a wonderful time. Every one just treated us great !
Two of our former partners from the Ardmore Raceway helped us, Jerry & Judy Matthews and Steve Matthews. (felt like we were back in the 60's)
Would like to Thank Don & Robert Scott & Robert's wife for all their help, Robert did all the heavy lifting and serious thinking for me.
Was great to have Charles & Lavelle Tunell in our camp,(all from the SWJFA). Charlie has some great history in Jr. Fuel and I'm pretty sure he saw every car at Bakersfield.
My racing partner from the 60's & 70's Jim Ragland and his wife Bunny came by several times.
We knew before we left home that it was long odds on making the 8 car show with 11 entries. We did what we went there to do and had a great time doing it. We got to run the best 'stuff' we've ever owned on a world famous race track at a world famous event ! (PLUS-- we got to drink cold beer and watch the races on Sunday, how good can it get ? )
***And maybe best of all, we got to hang with some great friends from home and make some great new friends from out West.
