Posted by Dave in Vallejo on July 22, 2006, 8:47 am About me: I am a seriously commited (or need to be committed because of it) Gondwanan Flora afficionado. I am the former owner of Gondwana Gardens, a nursery specializing in this flora, which was located ion the Central Valley of California. I have since relocated to the SF Bay Area (Vallejo) where I have planted the cream of the crop of my gondwanan taxa collection oin the ground (something I couldn't do in the harsher climate of the Central Valley). My garden has a number of species from New Caledonia, New Zealand, Chile, Australia, South Africa, and even a couple species from gondwanan refugia that are no longer primarily gondwanan in character (e.g. Venezuela and others). Since moving to Vallejo in 2000, I have acquired a ton of practical knowledge about the nutritional needs of these taxa (although many mysteries remain for me to totally understand), and also about how these species work with organic enhancements, like mycorrhyzae. I look forward to reading the contributions to this board. If others are interested, I'll post some pics of my plantings.

And it looks like it is brand new! It's kinda funny, because oin my to-do list this week was to look into what was involved in creating a board like this, and Eucalyptusman has beat me to it!
