My Eucalyptus Pauciflora Wilson's Valley Select form has Died!

OHHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOO! One day it's alive and the Next day it is Dead! I can't believe it!
At the bottom of the stem... there is a crack... Like a frost crack... must be a stress crack for some odd reason.... it survives the 107F with no problems... but soon as the weather cools off a bit at night it dies..... the climatic data on it's last day of life was 96F/47F the next day was 86F/49F... Looks like it got toasted.... The soil was moist... not dry.... I just watered it the day before.... Ohhh well.... it went to the Eucalyptus graveyard in the sky!
