The genus Banksia (and even many Grevilleas) can be such a challenge, because of drainage requirements. So much so, that people don't often offer these for sale, as there are few masochists ready to try these finicky genera (not to mention the other Proteaceous gneera). What I'd like to see is growers like you using things like Bansia robur, not just as an offering on its own, but also used as rootstock to allow the grafting (and thus the availability for sale) of even cooler taxa like Banksia menziesii. The Aussies regularly graft hard-to-grow species on hardy rootstock (e.g. prostanthera on westringia, and so on). American's never seem to bother. On a different note, I'm goiing to try to mail your seeds today or Monday (sorry for the delay!) Dave

Would you mind if I make a suggestion?
