I've started rewriting the whole thing but it will probably be a few months before I finish that. I have found that most treeferns do pretty well on clay as long as drainage is reasonably good and they can get enough water. You might mix in some compost with that soil and then you will have really ideal conditions for them. I think you could put that C. brownii in more sun and it would be happier. I would say Cycads are really NOT suitable for clay unless you are in a desert-like climate. Up here I grow them with excellent drainage with a lot of pumice in the soil.

Hi Dave, yes I got your seeds/cuttings, thanks alot! All the leaves dropped off the Ficus cuttings when they came out of the bag, but I planted them and maybe they will be all right.
