It has already come thru -11C back in our November freeze, so I'm optimistic. On the other hand, these hardier plants are rarely as gorgeous as all the stuff that just wouldn't make it long term around here, sigh.

I've had a leucosidea sericea for a couple years now beside my barn, it is one tough South African. Like you say, David, there are few that can really handle our occasional arctic events, but this might have a shot.
