Glen, same deal with L. nitidum here. Mine must be 12' tall but it has never flowered at all. All my other leptos have flowered now... except for one purple leafed form of what I assume is L. laevigatum (I got it from George long ago) - it has grown to 8' or so and still not flowered. I never really thought about it but I'd say they all flower on old wood.
