It's about 4 ft. north of a Cestrum parqui. Since the Cestrum will at the very least be deciduous, and probably die back to the ground, it will give the protea a little bit of summer shade but allow it to get full sun in winter. Also, both are antipodal, yellow, but bloom at different times of the year.
