He's getting older, just had his 2nd foot surgery and had another surgery to repair his hip. Feet and hips are not trivial matters for a guy who weighs 320 lbs. Maybe the Packers want to see how his recovery goes ? He's also had shoulder injuries, I think both of them were surgically repaired last offseason.
Its easy to sit and throw stones at the Packers, few do it more than the members of this board
But the reality is always a bit different. If the Packers give TJ a big fat contract and he injures himself again, they are in a very bad situation. None of these decisions are easy, TJ is very talented, a solid rock on the OL and the enforcer for anybody who messes with Aaron. Veteran experience, quality human. Love to keep him
But can he last for 20 games in a season ? Can he last a couple more years ? Those are the tough questions. Are you willing to lose TJ to win a Super Bowl ? Are you willing to keep TJ if it means losing other players ?
Let me know when you guys talk to the team doctors and get their full report on his surgeries and rehab. Then we can speculate as to why he isn't signed yet.
