You saw my list of a group of players for the rounds. The first two rounds you can get one of each but it get harder after that to find a complete player, looking at 29 why I like Awuzie so much is he can play either side perimeter CB, Slot and at safety.
That adds a ton of options for Capers. And the one thing I have not saw anyone talk about him is his tackling, very productive there., to me a high value pick that fits a need.
Now at OLB I also look for that complete player, for the system big enough to set the edge in the run game, but athletic enough to drop into coverage, and if they can do both of those things, they can rush the passer.
And that is why I like Watt, yes he has questions with a knee and lacks experience playing defense, but he has those tools with length being 6-5 and the size to play the run at 254#.
You would have a nice rotation with Matthews/Perry and Fackrell and Watt. And any combination of those.
I have no doubt that Fackrell will have added strength with a full off season, and that was what was missing for his rookie year.
They need a speed ILB , WAY fast type. And that is why I like is it Evans from Oklahoma so much with 4.51 speed.
And the players I want to see most is all the second and third years.
That is where the biggest improvement will come for the team, Fackrell, Lowry, Clark, Martinez, Hawkins, Brice, Davis, Allison, Patrick, Murphy and Spriggs.
Thirds Rollins, Randall, Ryan, Ripkowski, Montgomery, Linsley.
And who ever is can't remember lol.
There is a lot of reason to be excited about where the team is. And what we will get to see this season.
