In fact, with the exceptions of Bubba Franks, Javon Walker and Aaron Rodgers, all of Ron Wolfs, Mike Sherman and Ted Thompson 1t round draft picks have either been OL or defense.
So in 26 years... there have been 3 offensive "skilled" position taken. And only 5 offensive linemen.
So when you consider they've had 27 first round picks in those 26 and only 8 of them have been on offense... defense gets selected 70% of the time.
So offensive gets selected about 30% of the time, and offensive "skilled" positions only get selected about 11% to 12% ... and drops down to 8.33% if you don't count the Sherman years.
So an offensive "skilled" position would surprise me in the first round.
