I'll agree with you on his back side pursuit because he does not give up on a play. I love seeing a guy break away only for Matthews to come out of nowhere for a tackle.
However I'll disagree that he can hold point. He can if he wants to. But the biggest problem is he collapses up-field so quickly and so consistently that he allows backside lanes all too much. His inability to maintain gap responsibility is maddening.
He was amazing at run support and good at pass rush while he played at ILB. Going forward I think he'll be a very good pass rusher and continue to be a below average run defender.
