Sometimes high pressure teams lead to low sacks and high interceptions... because the QB is simply getting the ball out before they go down... so in some cases (when it leads to bad throws for DBs to intercept) pressures can be better.
Everyone says Kampman was a failure as an OLB... but his pressures were up and slightly better than normal and the DBs kept getting interceptions off his pressures.
But because he was unhappy, wouldn't talk to the media, and his sack numbers were down, people said he failed. But I think he did great, just he wasn't happy.
As far as what were the Packers thinking... I'm not sure. But rumor had it the Packers and Vikings both offered contracts for about the same amount.
