The Packers are a passing team and normally ignore the best blocking TEs (who normally struggle more in the passing game) and the Packers try to get someone with more potential in the passing game. So I normally just ignore the blocking TEs (unless they have receiving potential).
But I completely agree that the Packers need to be looking for a TE for the future... as TEs have seemed to normally take 3 years to develop and seems like a higher percentage have been bust in recent years as colleges have gone to more spread systems which don't develop TEs nearly as much or as well.
I still have a big draft crush on Hayden Hurst, 6-4, 250... he's big, athletic and physical... of course he's only old (25; old for a rookie) and very raw/poor route runner (he's team needed him to block a lot). He's got all the physical tools... but needs to learn how to run routes and a lot of the little football items.
