Give up on him? If he goes backwards yes.
Murphy started one game at RT and two at LT and did well. Was he dominating? No. Was he a swinging door? No not at all.
They both have the tools to start either side.
Both needed to get stronger.
Murphy just turned 24 and doesnít turn 24 until May.
For me OG is set, McCray, Patrick, Amachia, Pankey the wild card there is Amachia, he is another from the Sitton/Lang mold, college LT good size, athleitc ability. Iím not saying he is going to win a starting job, but he should be pushing for one.
Bulaga is a question we donít have enough info on. Good reports and I do know this he is a professional of the highest kind.
There is no question for me that he will be back and ready to play.
When is the unknown.
I still draft a OT someplace with that many picks. First Iíll say it is a weak OT class. Very weak. But there are some that fit the Packers.
Crosby was mentioned I Ike him over any others where I would draft a OT.
Brandon Parker, Greg Senat, Alex Cappa.
Desmond Harrison has early day two attributes but he ended up at West Georgia after being kicked off the Texas team with multiple failed drug tests.
Toby Weathersby, Ike Boettger I like a lot, you wonít find better coached Oline players coming out of college. He fell in the draft with a Achilles injury.
Brian OíNeill is a player that has been ranked all over, one year starter, athletically gifted, but needs to get stronger.
Iíve saw him ranked from the 1st to the fifth.
I think he is day two, but could fall further. A Player to watch on draft day.
Would I take him over a same ranked defensive player? Probably not. But if they are going to draft a OT he is worth watching.
