Yes, Jeremiah, from what I've read that's Pettine's scheme. Pre-snap, it's a basic normal set-up that you might see from most teams. Then Post snaps, they rotate to the play call, which normally is a single high Safety. (Though in reality, Pettine is willing to call all types of coverage, he will call double high Safeties as well as no deep coverage as well, where it's all man coverage with no help over the top.) So Pettine is willing to run anything if he think it'll work... but he has run a lot of single high coverage.
But where Pettine's defense is said to differ from some others, and he'll use different guys in different roles (which demands versatility from the players). So while Haha will probably normally be the single high S... they'll also be rotating others into that role in an attempt to confuse the offense.
So Pettine is probably loving Jones and Burks... in that with the exception of playing DL, they can do a little of everything... (and they can still blitz, which helps the DL). But that was part of me saying earlier that after watching more of Burk's tape, I sorta see him more as a SS than a LB... and I could see Pettine rotating Burks to safety while blitzing one of the true Safeties... to make the QB read the coverage wrong.
So QB sees two Safeties, one blitzes... so single coverage (nope there Burks it's really double coverage). Or maybe even QB sees one Safety and they blitz (and Jones or Burks dropping into coverage).
