To be honest, I have felt like there are many unknowns about the DL and most Packers fans have been assuming the good answers, and that article sounds like it assumes the bad answers. Though it sounds like the article was off about certain things.
I'm certainly for bringing in another DL to compete. I think Pettine has normally kept 6 DL when using the 3-4 and Packers top 5 are probably almost all locks. Leaving one spot open for the late round pick and two UDFAs.
As for Hankins, he's a NT, therefore would basically be Clark's back-up. On one hand, the Packers don't really have a back-up NT at this point (so that might be good), but I think this system is more set-up for perpetrators (where a back-up NT might be bad).
