Just the way that they choose to rotate the RBs virtually guarantees that Jones is going to get less playing time than the other two RBs.
Now against Detroit for some reason Monty came in and replaced Jones during Jones' drive in that game. Which I really didn't understand, at the time I thought maybe Jones had got hurt, but he did return much later, so I don't think he was hurt.
I guess what I dont understand about the rotation is that they reset it to start the second half. Jones had not got his second drive yet and they put Williams back out there for his third drive. If you are going to rotate drives with the RB's then rotate them, why handicap Jones so that he will inevitably get less playing time?
I get the feeling that McCarthy really doesn't trust Jones or he is in the doghouse for the suspension, cause he is obviously the most talented with the ball in his hands, and from what I have noticed, he is doing fine on pass protection as well. He really seems to be doing pass protection with 100% effort, which should be what the coaches want to see, I would think. I guess I just don't understand the stubbornness McCarthy is portraying about playing Jones
