Under MM the Packers have killed teams on keeping the play alive and making 2nd/3rd moves.... the rookies had NO IDEA what they were doing there, as too often they worked against what Rodgers was trying to do. Now, I'm not sure you blame the rookie WRs or the coaches there...
That being said, I honestly believe the Packers WRs are like the OGs (except WR Adams) in that they have GREAT depth (a number of #3 and #4 guys), but very little at the top (very few #1 and #2 guys).
WR Adams is a #1 WR
OG Taylor is a #2 OG
The rest (as far as the past goes) have not been starter material (yet). The Packers NEED someone to step up at those positions next year... in theory, both positions have a number of guys who SHOULD be able to step up, but again, so far they haven't.
For WR, we don't know if Allison and Cobb are going to be back, as their contracts are up (Allison could be tendered as an RFA), and as for the rookies, sometimes 3+ years to develop (took Nelson 3.5 years to develop, then he really broke out). So the Packers need to sign a veteran (even if it's Allison or Cobb), if they don't draft is in full play... and might be in full play anyways as no one but Adams is a lock (MVS and St. Brown seem almost a lock though).
