Per my Fanspeak simulator, a site I will waste too many hours on, here are the results.
1:12 - MI DL Rashan Gary. I actually really like this guy. He's a tweener DE with freakish athletic skills. He has the ability to stop the run and rush the passer. Not exactly the number one need, but love this kids upside.
1:32 - FL EDGE Jachai Polite. And we're already off the rails. No chance he falls out of the top 20. BUT he probably has the best burst/bend of any EDGE rusher in this class. Comes in as a 3rd down specialist, still raw, let him rush the passer and slowly learn to be a complete EDGE defender.
2:12 - Was S Taylor Rapp. This just isn't a good S class. But Rapp is a 3 down S who doesn't do any one thing great, but does everything good. Kind of the hybrid S/CB coming more and more into prominance in the NFL
3:11 - Stan TE Kaden Smith. If you're going to draft a TE, they should come from IA, FL, Stan, or WI. Smith is another freak athelte with above average blocking skills. Not a polished route runner but LaFleur can scheme him open.
4:12 - KA St G Dalton Risner. AND WE'RE OFF THE RAILS AGAIN. Risner by most is projected to go no later than Round 2. OT in college who has the athletic ability to play a zone-blocking G.
4:16 - KY RB Benny Snell. I love Jones, I like Williams. But I think LaFleur will want more RBs, especially to catch passes. Snell is a RB you want to get in open field. Good hands, great agility. I expect his stock to rise after the combine.
5:12 - Notre Dame LB Te'von Coney
6:12 - NC WR Anthony Ratliff-Williams
6:20 - WA CB Coey Ballentine
7:12 - KY S Darius West
