Ansley was the lead recruiter and defensive backs coach at Alabama during McKinney's time there. The Packers hired Ansley as their new defensive pass game coordinator this offseason, having spent last year as the Los Angeles Chargers' defensive coordinator.
I found it a bit funny when one of the media sites (maybe PFF) covered AJ Dillon , and then followed with Zach Moss and basically said Moss is the exact opposite of Dillon.
The idea being Dillons does GREAT at limiting negative plays in the backfield but then struggle to make guys miss or make plays when he gets to the next level. While Moss does great at being a playmaker once he gets to the next level, but he has a higher chance of having negative plays and getting stuffed in the backfield for a loss of yards or no gian.
Excited to hear TE Tyler Davis re-signed, secretly that's been one of the moves I've been thinking, they NEED to do. In their last healthy Packers season, Davis run blocking was getting close to Lewis level, not there, but getting close. Note pass blocking was all Lewis. But Davis was also a stud STer.
TE Davis should fit the ST/run blocking TE extremely well, and sorta the missing TE piece. Though, whom would be best for an H-back role is a little bit unclear, but they can all work at it.
