Cutler was better in Denver before Chicago got him - he got progressively worse every year in Chicago (though I think the downward trend had started even his last year in Denver - problems between him and the coach if I remember right, so he was probably headed the same way if he'd stayed in Denver).
Heck, even Vince Evans had something of a career renaissance in Oakland after years languishing in Chicago.
Jim Miller and Kyle Orton: two guys who were the best QB on the team (and it wasn't close), but yet were kept as second-string (Miller behind Cade McNown?, Orton behind Rex Grossman). Orton, if memory serves, went on to Denver and had some pretty decent seasons; I think Miller was pretty old at that point and ended up retiring from Chicago.
Bottom line: history is replete with examples of QBs who either were pretty decent but went to Chicago and crashed and burned, or were languishing in Chicago but went somewhere else and had their best years. None were anywhere near the quality of GB's previous 2 and current 1, but playing in Chicago has proven to be a detriment to many QBs.
