- For about a month now, LSU QB Jayden Daniels has been the favorite to go number 2 to the Commanders. He's still a SLIGHT favorite, but UNC QB Drake Maye and Michigan QB JJ McCarthy have both shot up in terms of odds. I've long said Drake Maye is QB2 and it's not even close. I'm sticking with it.
- Texas IDL Byron Murphy is going higher than we think. Benjamin Solak mocked him to the Bears at 9 in his final mock draft
- Notre Dame Joe Alt will indeed be OT1, but OT2 still is a mystery. Latest buzz is Alabama OT JC Lathem and Georgia OT Amerius Mims both going top 15
- The favorite to go to Atlanta at 8 is UCLA EDGE Laitu Latu
- The top 3 EDGEs have long been UCLA Laitu Latu, Florida State Jared Verse, and Alabama Dallas Turner. Late buzz though has Penn State EDGE Chop Robinson going ahead of one of these guys.
- Georgia TE Brock Bowers going top 10
- Oregon IOL Jaxon Powers-Johnson, Clemson CB Nate Wiggins, and Alabama CB Kool-Aid McKinstry are all more likely to go R2 R1. JPJ due to attitude, Wiggins due to size, and Kool-Aid due to injury concerns.
- Lot of teams working the phones to trade up for one of the top three WRs, Ohio State Marvin Harrison Jr, LSU Malik Nabers, and Washington Rome Odunze. Teams being discussed include the Colts who need more pass catching talent, the Jags who lost out on Calvin Ridley, and Pittsburgh who traded away Diante Johnson.
- Lot of teams without a 2nd round pick looking to trade down. This includes the Jets, Bears, Broncos, and Seahawks. Vikings also don't have a 2nd, but that's due to adding a 1st.
- When the list of prospects attending the NFL Draft came out, Missouri DL Darrius Robinson was the one who stood out as a possbility to fall to day 2. But there's a lot of late buzz teams in the 20s might really like him.
- Panthers have two 2s and want to move up for a WR.
- Washington has two 2s and want to move up for an OL.
