Got a call tonight from Tony Fry, Widowmaker/Old Timer. Tony stated that Benny George went down under. Benny was at the last Noblesville gun show. Most of you didnt know Benny, but he was one of the Old Timers from the 60s. He was one of the Old Timers that got the National Rendezvous, off NMLRA property and they had it at Chaderan Nebraska, in 73. In 62 the Old Timers started their own Nationals, at or above the now, Primitive range. They called theirs, The Buckskin and Flintlock National Rendezvous. The only and last National Rendezvous that was held on NMLRA Primitive property, was in 76. That Rendezvous was the second NMLRA Eastern Rendezvous. We had around 60 shooters. Chuck Oder came in a little late, and kicked all our azzez, on the range.
Benny George was a good man. He was a stickler for things to be PRIMTIVE at the Rendezvous, as was Tony and the others. Remember what I just said, cause we, our club has been a little sloppy about this, and it needs to get back to the word of the Old Timers, PRIMITIVE! Cheers, Lizard!
