I don't know how to explain this properly without turning it into an essay, but I'm just going to be as brief as possible.
As most of you probably know, I've gone to enormous lengths to ensure that this building has a very warm atmosphere, and is protected from negative energies via shields, powder magick, communicating with the local land powers that be (I don't use terms like God or Goddess these days) and other assorted ways. And I have been very successful in doing so. There's just one problem that's really starting to concern me.
A complicated set of insidents that happened a few years ago was what got me so focused on protecting this building, and making it warm and inviting. But now, it would seem that the energy I've built up has attracted an alarming amount of people with serious mental problems, who seem not only completely sane when I met them, but people I'd like to have as friends. 
The odd thing about that is that I have well over 20 years of training in helping (and obviously recognizing) people with various mental disorders. So now what's happening is lunatics are moving in, trying to be my friend, only to be dumped by me, and getting evicted within weeks or a month at the most. At one point, I was the only person living on my floor because of this, and with 8 apartments a floor, it was pretty lonely up here.
I've obviously tripled the strength of my personal shield, and learning from my lesson, am doing divinations about new people who try to become my friends, but what once, only a few years ago, was a building of people, most of which had been living here for 20 to 40 years, has now turned into a revolving door of nut cases that don't (at least on my floor) end up living here longer than 2 months...all getting evicted.
While I'm VERY relieved that these nuts don't last long, I can't figure out what could be attracting them here. The only thing I can think of is the fact that I'm a therapist (among a number of other things). Can any of you guys figure out what the hell is going on? I mean seriously! I'll give you just one example. The woman across my hall and I used to have tea almost every day. She seemed highly intelligent and fun to be around, but she was having serious problems with the owner of the building (who everyone hates with a passion).
It looked like she was going to get kicked out at the end of this month, and she was afraid she would literally end up on the street because of a bank problem and her employer holding back her check. I left this note under her door:
Hi Nancy,
I just wanted to make sure you know a few things:
You're welcome to come & take a nice hot shower when ever you want. And you don't have to worry about staying to chat. You can just shower & go. I have soft, clean towels, and the shower has 3 different heads, so you can have a massage as well.
If you find that you have no place to go, or enough money to stay at a hotel, you can stay with me.
If you don't have enough food to eat, just say so and I'll put a care package together for you.
If you want to use my computer and/or printer, just pop over anytime.
If you need to store a few things to make sure they're safe, or any other reason, you can store them here.
If you want to save on your cell phone bill, feel free to use mine. Remember you can take it to your place so you can have some privacy.
If you'd like to relax, have a bite to eat (or a simple dinner) & watch a movie, just let me know.
The bottom line is that no matter what happens at civil court, or the tribunal, you'll always have a safe place to stay, and food to eat. ;-)

Suddenly she completely cut off contact with me. I became concerned and today we both opened our doors (that face each other) at the same time. "Are you okay? I haven't heard from you, I said" She responded by stomping down the hallway saying "DON'T EVER SPEAK TO ME AGAIN!!!" I asked if I could please have the heater I lent her back, and she said that "the management told her to hold on to it". I have absolutely NO idea what caused her to do that. I called the management and explained the situation and they said she was getting kicked out (of course) and if they couldn't get back my heater, they'd replace it with an identical one.
Anyway, sorry to ramble, but this is really starting to get on my nerves, so I'm hoping someone here has some suggestion as to what I should do to shield myself even more than I already am, and what on earth to do to stop the revolving door of nutcases moving in and out? Jeez. This is the single most weirdest thing I've ever dealt with, and if you had the slightest clue as to what I've delt with you'd know how much that statement means. 
Anyone?....
