I know that the questions I have were probably already brought up and are in the archives somewhere, but I want to hear what people have to say about my questions now that there are new people here.
I recently moved into a new apartment building, and a lady who lives on my floor at the end of the hall, where the door to the stairs is, is a complete mental case. She's in her late 50's, and obviously has no friends whatsoever & and very obviously desperate for a boyfriend. I live in the middle of the hallway. Every single time I open either the door to the stairs, or the door to my apartment, she magically appears and starts blabbing about whatever weird thought she has in her head. At first I was friendly to her as she just seemed like a lonely older lady, but now even if I completely ignore her, she'll still follow my to my apartment when she heres me come up the stairs, and keep blabbing.
She smokes pot all day, (the hallway smells so strongly of pot, that someone actually left a bottle of Febrese infront of her door.) And as the only way someone can here you come up the stairs is if your standing at your door listening, that's the only other thing she does. I've tried everything I can to get this woman to leave me alone, but everytime I come home, or leave there she is, stoned out of her mind heading for me babbling before she's even close enough for me to here what she's saying. I politely told her that I was a very busy man and didn't have time to chat in the hall, to telling her that if I smelled pot coming from her apartment ever again, I'd report her to the Owner of the building, and the police as she keeps trying to sell it to me (and the rest of the men on the floor, who are all unfortunately in the same situation as me.
I finally did make a formal complaint with both the landlord and the owner, but all they did was send her a memo informing her that a smell eminating from her apartment was causing an unpleasant smell in the hall, and to please do something about it.
I've buffed up my personal shield so her nagging dosen't cause her negativity to stick to me, I've written her a note asking her to not speak to me under ANY circumstances. I did a spell to try and mask any noise I make so she can't hear me, I even got so mad one day when I came home a few friends and she told them I was her 'friend with benefits', that I finally just said "Stay the f@ck away from me you ugly old bag!" But like an airplane, everything just goes right over her head and she acts like she didn't hear or read a thing. Does anyone have any thoughts on what I can do to get this crazy b###h to just leave me alone? I'm almost getting to the point where I'm thinking of moving out, but the place is in the best area of the city, the rent is cheap & the apartment is beautiful. It's the best apartment I've ever had. ANY ideas? I'm stumped.
