The core of meditation revolves around controlling your breath. If you don't have time to sit around for 20 minutes, simply practice taking deep breaths by filling your stomach with air (the lungs will fill automatically). Inhale and count 'one', exhale and count 'two'. Do this is until you reach 10 and either keep going, or start back at 'one' and recount to 'ten' while you breath.
This can be done anywhere, at any time and for as long as you can. It is VERY easy to do, and once you get used to doing it, try for a goal, for example, if you can only count to 10 twice (or 20 once), try to add another 10 as a goal, and keep going from there. It's also a really great way to unwind when you're in bed trying to fall asleep. Just picture the numbers on a giant black black board in your mind that fade and turn into the next number. I'll be adding some more info on it to my web site in a few weeks (after I send my computer back to the manufacturer for the FOURTH time...and I've only had the computer for a year and 3 days!!
