This seems like the best time to do magicks, your in need!
No, I don't recommend doing magicks under the influence but, when you have to be on medications and have a true need, of course, give it all you have
I'm a massage therapist & reiki practitioner and have clients with fibromyalgia, getting off the pains pill will be better in the long run but you have to do it gradually with your doctors knowledge & help.
The problems with the meds is its just a band aid, what I have my clients do is get off all caffeine and carbonated drinks, eat as healthy as possible, cut back on red meat and drink as much water as you can stand.
I start them off, (depending on the severity) massage & stretches a couple of time a week for a couple of weeks & work them down to once a week or every 10 days and gradually to maybe 1-2 times a month, I also have them do stretches everyday. this will help move toxins from the muscles and lessen the pain. the thing is to stay moving without doing too much, thats why the pain meds interfere and also you dont realize how much your pushing if your masking your pain. water aerobics is also a great form of exercise for this.
As far as magicks, you wrote that you've been practicing for 7 yrs so you know the basics for healing, there are a lot of great herbs for this to keep your body healthy, keep in mind you want to move toxins out,
oh and soak in the tub with 2 cups of epsom salt & 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar, that will help with the soreness.
Thats all I can think of, if you need any assistance, just ask or e-mail me.
May the Goddess guide you to healing your body, bright blessings in love & light
