Your fear could be adding to this phenomenon. You could try grounding to get rid of negative energy and then shield yourself. Is this happening while you're falling asleep or is this occuring when you are in REM?
I've had my name called while in that state between being awake and asleep. I pay attention to it because it is trying to get my attention and usually something happens within the next couple of days that needs me to look beneath the surface.
