When you put up a shield or do any kind of magicks, see the power coming from Divine and the energies that you are using, don't use your energy, you put your energy in what you use, like candles, herbs, stones etc. but not when your sending it out.
I believe the most important thing to remember when practicing the craft is, we're not the power, the power is there for us to use.
