This post is a response to "Witch-in-Training Needs Help" by Inujade. I felt that Celeste was right about starting a separate thread for people to find this in the search box, here is what Inujade wrote:
"So yesterday I went to my local new age supply store in search of good deals on tarot cards...and ended up leaving with a snowflake obsidian pendulum instead. It was one of those things where you realize you have to have it, altho I'd never wanted a pendulum before. I've cleansed it and dedicated it, been carrying it with me and slept with it under my pillow. But I'm not altogether sure how to use it to it's fullest potential...most sites are very vague. I want to 'program' mine to help me find lost objects. How would I go about this? Is there any formality involved?"
my response:
A pendulum doesn't have to be programed to do something, you've done everything that was needed to be done
now all you need is to is use it. Ask it to show you a yes (favorable) and then a no (unfavorable), usually a yes is back & forth and no is side to side, but I have seen it be opposite for some people, I will also ask it if it will work with me.
When your looking for something, ask it if it knows where its at, always ask specific questions until you narrow it down, like are my new sunglasses in the house, if its yes then walk though each room and always ask specific questions, are my new sunglasses in this room, sometimes it will start circling clockwise when your getting close or go counterclockwise when your moving away from what your looking for.Also, I always ask it to stop before I ask another question and you can check your pendulum with your body pendulum. Stand straight up, cross your arms with hands on opposite shoulders, relax and ask your question, if you are pulled forward, that's a yes and pulling backward is a no.
Also, you can use pendulums to clear, work with this on yourself before you try this on someone else, ask it if you need to be cleared, you don't want to clear a blessing from yourself,
sometimes it will just start moving counterclockwise, it is already clearing you if this happens,if it answers yes, ask it to start clearing you. Start at the top of your head and slowly move down your body and back up, it will slow down on its own when its done. I always ask it to fill me with Love & Light afterwords, I never leave an empty space, not even on myself you do this in the same manor as above, but this time, the pendulum will move in a clockwise direction.
