I didn't mean to scream, I just wanted to make sure that my post stood out. To all who read this, I can pretty much guarantee that you already have a pendulum, even though you don't know it.
ANYTHING that has some sort of length with something heavier at the end can be used as a pendulum.
A chain pendant or necklace with something heavy on the end.
A piece of thread and a button work.
String with a hoop or other earring on the end.
Gluing (or taping) a penny to both sides of a piece of thread (on both sides).
Thread with a bead on the end.
String with a bobbin on the end.
Yarn with an I Ching coin on the end.
Yarn with a key chain on the end.
Some sort of string with a key on the end.
String with a bolt on the end.
If your hair is long enough, you can even use a few strands and put a bead or charm on the end.
A piece of thread with a hair pin on the end.
That's 12 things that just popped out of my brain. I'm sure with all these examples, you can surely find something you can use to make one. And remember, just because it isn't some fancy pendulum you paid a fortune for, it will work just as well as any other pendulum. So have fun either using my directions, or discovering another pendulum in your home. I'd love to hear what anyone who wants a pendulum used to make it. Have fun!
