Wow. Somehow it never occured to me that a totem's influence could stretch that far. Felines tend to scratch and bite a lot during sex...No wonder you got no complaints! 
But on the other hand, if I'm going to act more spiderlike during sex...maybe my boyfriend should be worried. 
And now for some rambling...I JUST remembered something that happened when I was a little kid. Probably 10 or 11...I went to some sort of Native American fair and bought three stones with animal designs on them. A spider, a wolf, and a raven. I brought them home and offered one each to two of my best friends. They took the raven and thw wolf, and left me with the spider.
This is odd because I haven't thought of those stones in years. I know the wolf friend uses it as part of her shrine (whenever we fight she concentrates on it in hopes that we'll make up soon), and I no longer speak to the raven friend...
I must make a note to find mine!
