I've noticed that in the Cottage and letters I get, it seems like a lot of Witches are feeling run down, somehow never see the instructions I have for how to erect various shields and, by the way the letters I get are phrased, I was right when I got a strong impression that almost everyone who was writing to me about this didn't really understand or ever *really* know what energy (either their own or the divine energy that is all around us) feels like.
There's a really long story behind this, so in yet another attempt to not ramble, I'm going to skip it, and just give you the facts. I have a tiny tattoo on the front of both of my hands. They are simply 3 little dots that form a triangle, or top of an arrow (without lines). The one on my right (power) hand, has 2 marks on top (pointing to my knuckles), and one dot on the bottom. Like an up side down triangle/arrow pointing out, and the dots on my opposite hand are reversed (with one dot on the top and 2 on the bottom).
In a ceremony I was in, I learned that these markings can help you 'feel' and balance your energy, and recharge your spiritual battery (for lack of a better term). And a great way to for beginners to really know how to feel various natural energies, as well as the natural divine energy that blankets the universe.
When I taught for a while, I used a felt pen to put the dots on my students hands (and HIGHLY recommend that they did NOT get tattoos of them).
Anyway...
One VERY GOOD way to feel this energy is by letting it come in from the power side of your body (which ever side you write with), and out the other side. And when you feel balanced, just feeling yourself balanced, with this energy flowing as it does naturally threw everyone. I'm skipping over a lot of stuff, but you'll get the idea.
After they had the dots on their hands, I asked them to stand up, take a couple of relaxing breaths, stand comfortably, raise their arms to their shoulders, and close their eyes. Start with their power palm down, opposite palm up. and visualize the divine energy that is all around them to enter through the triangle/arrow on their power hand looking silvery/white, and flush any negativity out the other, seeing it as a dark gray powder, as they slowly turned one palm up and the other down.
When you do this, you began to feel your hands or entire arms tingle with energy. I gently guided them to really *feel* the energy/power and remember that energy can not be destroyed...only manipulated.
Once they were all tingling with energy, I got them to slowly lower their hands, and form an invisible ball of energy. I got them to throw the 'energy balls' into the air and catch them, so they could REALLY feel, and know for a fact, that this energy is Really there any time they needed it, and not just something you read about, but never really feel.
When they amazed themselves by being able to feel this energy 'for real' (for the first time), I got them throw the energy balls into the air and catch it, to learn how to really feel it, and later toss them each other, and a few other things.
So if you are one of the beginners, or advanced that have trouble replacing divine energy that you have expended, or are one of the thousands of Witches who have never really experienced what it feels like to really feel energy, a very simple way to 're charge' or just feel it, is to stand up and do what I just said.

It isn't necessary to put the triangle/arrow dots on your hands with felt or ink. It's just a good thing for those who are more visually orientated people...like myself
