To answer your query about the love and money fluff that can be found in most spell books, it's about marketability. It's hard to get a major publisher to print your work if you don't throw in something that Sabrina the teenage witch can use to get a new boy toy.
Big name bookmakers don't market to groups like us. They market to the techno-pagan, the neo-goth, and the nuvo-witch.
Oh sure. We may find useful tidbits here and there. But, it's like you said. They make for ok reference material.

I have been considering a move to Glastonbury. That seems like a fine place to build a magick school. I'd call it the Avalon Institute. Celeste and Crystal can write the course material. Aurora can head the library (because she seems to always an point with the quality references).
What do you all say? How would you like to usher the Merlins of the next generation into existence?
