Time is always the most important ingredient in any spell. Before casting anything, you should know when the season, month, day, hour, weather, and planetary alignment will be prime for your spell to reach its fullest potential. These equations are generally different for different spells.
But, let's say that you have two spells that you want to cast. And, the moment you have in mind is perfect for both spells. Should you cast them both?
Yes. No. Maybe so.
If the two spells are LIKE spells, it would be easier. I, for example, do must of my work in the arena of spiritual defense. The energies that I channel for this could seemlessly be transferred to spiritual offense.
However, for me to jump from a defense spell to a love spell (which requires a completely different kind of focus) would be more difficult. I would have to take the time to clear my mind of one goal, and emmerse it into another. If I didn't do this (through cleansing and meditation), I might end up casting a love spell that makes my target obsessivly over-protective (or worse).
