Maybe I didn't express myself properly. I was just using the Sabbats, praying, etc in reference to the so called Wiccan lady I was talking about. As I said, there are a lot of different kinds of Witches, and I completely agree with what you said. My essay "Being A Witch" says the same things you do.
But regarding Sabbats, I don't celebrate them like Wiccans, but I do think that a Witch should be in tune with nature and the natural forces they use in magick. Maybe it's just me, but I notice a VERY distinctive change in energy during solstices, equinoxes, 'turns of the wheel' or whatever you want to call it. And as I say in my aforementioned essay, a Witch is basically just a person who has mastered and adept at performing magick. And that you can't do it if you can't meditate or do visualization exercises. In fact, I was the 1st web site that even mentioned that, along with the importance of personal power verses fancy tools.
