Hi Ladies Celeste, Inujade
I agree with most of what you said. Meditation is important as for visualization I disagree somewhat because I am not a visual person. I am a feeling type not fingers but thoughts and emotions. To focus I must first feel it then usually I can visualize but not always. On the subject of tools until a few minutes ago I had just a wand made of plastic filled with a red glitter and lots of stars, circles, and crescent moons that float around and move when the wand is moved
. I found it in the back of a closet shortly after I made the decision to be a conscious instead of unconscious witch and was trying to decide where I was going to get my tools. After I found my wand all urgency to find tools left me so I never even looked for any more tools. I just realized the dragon with a sword my son¡¦s girlfriend gave me because she just felt called to get it for me two weeks ago is my athame. Thanks for the subject in this article Celeste.
I try to do a moon (Goddess) recognition for the new, first quarter, full and last quarter phases if I can. I tend to be more into the religious side of witchcraft than the craft side. I have calendars that show the phases of the moon for every day of the year. Ok so I am a bit extreme ¡"If it harms none..."
To answer your question when does a witch stop being a witch? the answer is never in my opinion? Why? Embracing witchcraft is a lot like getting married or going steady etcļ; you have a honeymoon period then you start taking things for granted to point. Of course if you get too disconnected then you break up or get divorced. Hmm I guess if you made a decision to quit the craft you would no longer be a witch otherwise it could be viewed as a separation then you got back together providing you were really a witch to begin with. Good grief I am getting long winded and rambling even.
