beast11: Decently sure...I feel like if it had been a murder, the man would've been in more of a hurry. But, I could be wrong.
Spirit Dancer: Thank you for all the info! I do some dreamwork, but only with my totems, and even then I prefer to contact them in ritual rather than dreams (my dreams are like an emergency contact number for them 
)
But I've never worked with a human before. So, I think I may have to not get involved. I don't want to make things worse with my inexperience, especially if it is a ghost rather than a living person.
You say that whoever this man is has 'reached out to me'...is this a totally unconcious reaching out, or will he notice if I ward him away?
