Champhophenique can also be used for ear mites. Years ago my vet told me to use it...that it actually worked better and a lot quicker than the stuff he had and it did! Used it on all the animals...dogs, cats, rabbits, goats, horses, jersey milk cow, (shoulda' seen Cheryl milking it when she was about 10 yrs old), also had an outbreak of head lice once on the chickens...yep...worked on them too.
Sure not going to find a vet who will tell you something like that now days!
Use on yourself too. Great on any kind of insect bites or stings. Completely stops the itching from mosquito bites and chiggers.
Almost forgot!! Take your dog OUTSIDE when you apply it. I use an eye dropper and put 4 - 6 drops in each ear, massage the base of the ear a little bit...then step back! When you let go of the dog, they are going to shake and any excess oil in their ear will come flying out. Outside it just gets on you...not your furniture!
