There seems to be some confusion about our policies on banning. To clarify a misconception we do not only allow a select few privileges. We all experience disgust and anger at times and need to vent these feelings. While this is understood we will tolerate your venting as long as it is not personally directed or sarcastic. One can state their displeasure with a particular issue. An example is our collective disgust with those who exploit dogs in general and the practices of some who use violence and personal gain as a tool to further their own egotistical needs which almost always leads to the death or even worse torturous treatment of the animals. This indeed does bring anger to the surface and offtimes makes an individual behave in a way that is not always understood by others.
Be assured we on this board do not condone the practices of some who allow their animals to be surrendered to such a fate. We, therefore, react strongly to those who defend such behavior. If in the process you become offended perhaps you might consider looking into the acts that preceded such reactions from our "select few" members who feel so strongly about this. They are the ones who base their values on personal negative experiences with the people you are so quick to defend and not hearsay. If you find this offensive then perhaps there is a better place for you other than here. I am being polite while my gut is telling me otherwise however I am aware that not all who post here are in this category.
None who frequent this board are tolerant of bad behavior towards animals. We are intolerant and do our best to enlighten those who are unaware. It will always be so. If we only reach a few it is a progressive endeavor.
Again if you have been offended perhaps you might re-evaluate your ethics and see which side of life you are really on. As far as banning goes we will not spend a lot of time with negative behavior or sarcasim towards members nor will there be discussions, other than private ones, turning this board into nothing more than a chat blasting venue thus losing our purpose.
If you have information that is relevant and helpful for people, animal training, behavior, health and lets not forget humor you too can be one of the "select few" and once in a while you can vent a bit but no personal attacks will be tolerated. Be assured you will be zapped. We are being up front on where we stand and as stated several times in the past this board is not required reading. The internet is vast and there are many places that might be better suited for some.
Yes, I am Wolf, I am Barbara and I am against violence towards dogs in any form. People come here because they are in agreement not because they fear the Big Bad Wolf. There are many avenues to explore and many ways to keep your ego intact but dogs are not one of them. If you do not like my attitude or values move on with my blessing.
These boards are free to all. Help yourself.
