You are aware that we monitor this board carefully because of the constant infiltration of outside abusive people who only want to stir up trouble and hinder us from keeping this board informative.
Having said that....we have instituted the approval of postings. However this requires even more monitoring on our part. Another possibility is putting into play a registration requiring each poster produce their name and email. This will eliminate those whose intentions are negative from the current practice of constantly changing their posting name as no email is required at this time and they can keep their identity hidden and therefore attack our posters. This eliminates our having to approve each posting as those who are not of pure of heart will not produce their identity.
I would like input from our current regular folks as to whether or not they are willing to go the extra mile and register. There is no cost involved only a few minutes of your time.
The registration also gives us the ability to block the board from not only negative abusive people but we can also block them from reading it if we so choose. In other words eliminate them completely.
Most of you are cognizant of message boards and the group fighting that usually develops and when you are anonymous people oftimes act in a manner they would not normally do. This is not about control although they are making is such by their constant attacks. We would like to keep things free and enable people to speak their minds but in a civilized manner.
Please give us your input on this. It will make our lives a bit easier and keep this board open and free. Opinions can differ but outward nasty remarks and attacks are of no value to anyone.
We are also a crusade, in a manner of speaking, against the unethical treatment of any animal, be it dog, hog,cat, rabbit, bird. Nature must have its place in our world.
