I haven't posted for a while, but I don't really like the way this food grading list is written - there are plenty of foods out there that do not have corn, by products, wheat, beef tallow, ethoxyquin, etc, in them...those that do contain these things should never be fed, whether they managed to get a B rating or not...
Also, Timberwolf changed their formula and is not the same food that it used to be, and on top of that they are having some major manufacturing issues. They have been using the Chenango Valley plant (heavily involved in last years recalls)for a long time now and it was recently discovered that the preservative in their food was not holding, and the food was going bad, causing many dogs to be sick and many others to refuse to eat it. They have finally moved to a different plant and have addressed the preservative issue, but they have definitely cheapened the product, adding more grain to most formulas, adding chicken fat to all and in the Ocean Blue formula in particular, they took out all of the good oils (sardine, anchovy, mackerel and tuna). This is why I make my own raw! The pet food companies cannot be trusted. They changed the formula over a year and a half ago but the bags are just now reflecting the change. It is frustrating.
