That is so awful and I am so sorry! I just would not be able to get past a situation like that and is part of the reason why I wanted to open this discussion. Too many people have told me I put too much "stock" into my 4 legged family, but it's the only family I have (I never was able to have children).
I've learned through many close and personal deaths, that you can't put all your faith in one person's hands these days (physician or vet). You know what is said about hind-sight... I'm all about foresight when possible.
