I have found that it makes a lot of sense and happier dogs to feed them twice a day and so below is breakfast at our house:
Cooked oatmeal cooled with yogurt, eggs and molasses added. Simple eh??
Oatmeal: low in starch and high in minerals, especially potassium, phosphorus, magnesium and calcium. Oats are rich in vitamins B,E,G. They are nutritious and support strong teeth along with a tonic for nerve, blood and hair.
Not an expensive diet but does the dogs well and lets them start the day with something warm in their tummies after a long night. Kind of like sending your kids off to school with something good in their tummies. Not that different dogs and kids.
