I checked the internet and it seems they are of the spider family. It says their venom is a nuro-toxin and attacks the nervous system but is not deadly to humans. It says the most dangerous thing to watch for is shock. They are elusive and prefer not to strike unless it is food but to beware of them if at all possible. There is no venom cure for a bite. If you dog is bitten get to the vet at once.!!!! Anaphalxic shock is the killer.
